Skills are specialized abilities your agent has. Think of them as expertise areas — just like you’d hire a specialist for a specific task, your agent has skills for different types of work.

Built-in Skills

Every agent comes with these abilities out of the box:

Adding New Skills

Your agent can learn new specialized skills over time. New skills can be added by your team to teach the agent company-specific workflows, templates, or processes.
Skills are one of the key advantages of Vecbase agents over simple chatbots. While a chatbot can only chat, your agent can actually do things — create files, process data, interact with services, and complete real tasks.
